Studying is a key factor in improving your child’s school readiness. But, how are you supposed to teach your little one that studying is important from an early age? Little Lords and Ladies Learning Academy shares some tips:
- Give them reassurance.
Tell them they can do and they will. Small words of praise go a long way for your little one. It instills in them that you believe they are able to do well.
- Read them books.
Books are like treasure troves of knowledge. With each page read, your child gets to take that nugget of wisdom for themselves.
- Help them make the most of TV time.
Instead of regular shows, introduce your child to documentaries and other educational programs. This lets them learn and stay entertained at the same time. After all, child education doesn’t have to be limited in the classroom.
- Ask them about any difficulties.
Does your child have something that they struggle over? Don’t be so keen on simply handing them the answers. Help them overcome the challenges with your guidance instead.
- Supervise them.
Make it a habit to check whether they have any homework for the day. Allocate a quiet place at home where your child can focus on schoolwork. Don’t forget to ask them what they learned in school that day. Small discussions like these not only encourage learning but further your bond as well.
Good study habits help your child further advance in academics and in life. To give them a headstart, enroll your little one in our preschool in Orlando, Florida.
