Reinforcing independence through repetition is the best way to condition your children to do simple things by themselves until independence becomes a part of their personality. - Take good care of their belongings.
We’ll train them to avoid misplacing, damaging, or losing their things by asking them to use their coloring materials lightly or to keep count of their pencils, so they’ll know if one is missing.
- Put things in their rightful places.
We’ll ask your child to put their backpacks on their armchairs or place their water bottles in the designated drinking area to minimize clutter and make things as organized as possible.
- Follow “CLAYGO”.
We’ll make “clean as you go” our motto in school to teach your child the importance of cleanliness and to train them to practice it independently by simply asking them to throw their garbage in the trashcan and clean up their eating utensils on their own.
- Practice self-help skills.
These self-help skills include using the bathroom, washing and drying their hands, and changing their school uniforms to their PE uniforms by themselves.
