Tell them about the Creation Story
If your child asks about the sun, the moon, the animals, the human beings, the water, the heavens, etc. – you should tell them the story about The Creation of the Heavens and the Earth. This story talks about how God created light and separated the light from the darkness, calling light “day” and darkness “night”, how God created an expanse to separate the waters and called it “sky”, how God created the dry ground and gathered the waters, calling the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters “seas”. Also, in this story, you can share to your child how God created the plants and trees, how He created the sun, the moon, and the stars to give light to the Earth, how He created every living creature of the seas and every winged bird, and the animals. Lastly, you can tell your child how man and woman were created using this story, and how the God Almighty had finished His work of creation and rested on the seventh day.
Be Creative and Use Visual Aids
To be more effective, you can also make props like cutting out images while reading the story to your kid. It will also be a great idea to make this as a bedtime story to your child. This Bible story will not just answer your curious child’s question, but will also give your kid a lesson about how all of us should be thankful for everything that God created– that without Him we are nothing.
